Up to two minutes behind a PIN you share yourself, with your own cover photo on the player if you want one. No app, no account, and nothing auto-saved to their phone the way a WhatsApp video is.

How it works
Upload the video, choose a PIN
Up to two minutes and 150 MB, as an MP4. Portrait is fine and we keep it the way you shot it. iPhones record .mov, so send the clip to yourself on WhatsApp and upload that copy — it fixes the format and shrinks the file in one step. Add a cover photo if you like. Then a 4–6 digit PIN of your choice; you share it yourself, we never email it.
Print the code, or send it
On a card, an invite, a gift box. Or send the QR image. Nobody who sees the code learns anything about the video.
They scan, type the PIN, and it plays
It plays in their browser, on their phone, with no app to install. Change the PIN or pause the QR later and it stops opening for everyone.
Good questions
How long can the video be?
Up to two minutes — enough for a proposal, a birthday wish or a first look at the venue, and short enough to load fast on a phone. Portrait is fine; we keep it the way you shot it.
What video file do I need?
An MP4, up to 150 MB. iPhones record .mov instead, which most Android phones cannot play, so we do not accept it. The easy way round: send the clip to yourself on WhatsApp and upload that copy — it converts the format and shrinks the file at the same time. Or set Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible and record again.
What does the person see when they scan it?
A lock screen and a PIN box — nothing about the video, not even a still. Your cover photo appears after the PIN, as the picture on the player before they press play.
Can they download it or forward it on?
There is nothing to forward: you send a code, not a file, and the video streams from our server behind your PIN. The player has no download button. Someone determined can always record their own screen, as with anything you play to a person. What you keep is the access — change the PIN or pause the QR and it stops opening for everyone.
Can buyqrcode staff watch it?
The video is PIN-protected, not encrypted with the PIN. Our team can watch a file only after a viewer reports it, and every such view is logged. Nobody browses videos.
What if I forget the PIN?
Reset it from your dashboard. The video is PIN-protected, not encrypted with it, so a reset is a normal thing to do. Anyone still using the old PIN is locked out the moment you save.
Does it expire?
No. Pay once and the code keeps working. There is no renewal date and no reminder email.
